Within the framework of the DIRS implementation, the RHID organizes a “Next Generation Combat Aircraft Technologies (NGCAT)” Ad-hoc Working Group.
The working group will examine the Belgian Defense Technological and Industrial Base’s potential involvement in developing a next-generation air combat capability and its underlying technologies.
Given the great diversity of opportunities, the working group will be organized in a number of sub-domains:
- Aero structures and associated functions
- Avionics, connectivity and embedded sensor systems
- Propulsion and accessories
- System of systems interconsistency
- Disruptive Enabling Technologies
The objective of the working group is to provide recommendations to the political level for the strategic positioning of the Belgian DTIB.
The NGCAT introduction meeting is open to relevant stakeholders.
The participation to each subworking group will be limited to stakeholders with relevant experience and capacity in the field of (aeronautical) engineering, production and/or in service support and will be subject to security screening.
