On 10 May, the auditors of the High Studies for Security and Defence were invited by FN Herstal to visit the company, observe various aspects of its production and discover some of its flagship products. The welcome was warm, the explanations enlightening and the demonstrations impressive. FN Herstal holds in high regard the High Studies for Security and Defence and spared no effort to receive its guests in style. The auditors who were unfamiliar with this sector of activity – but also those who are familiar with – greatly appreciated this very enriching visit, as it enabled them to better discover and understand the issues and challenges of the defence industry today and, in particular, the manufacture and sale of small arms.
