On Tuesday 7th of June, the Royal Higher Institute for Defence organised a first-of-its-kind bilateral workshop in collaboration with US Army DEVCOM and US Office of Naval Research – Global.
The “Forging the future – BE-US joint effort in science for a safer world” workshop aimed to give the Belgian research community the opportunity to discuss emerging research and technologies across a broad range of topic areas with a view to building collaboration across the research community and with government agencies. Altogether, the event attracted around 70 participants from Belgian Defence, academies, research institutions, US government and army representatives as well as SMEs/start-ups.
