Surenchère nucléaire et élucubrations médiatiques

André DUMOULIN

The Russian-Ukrainian war has brought the nuclear dimension of political-doctrinal posturing to the fore. Clearly, nuclear arsenals continue to be “neutralised” thanks to the nuclear powers’ ability to control and guarantee retaliatory strikes, which is the basis of the doctrine of deterrence. Nevertheless, we have seen a media overkill on the nuclear issue, often inappropriate and creating an anxious and poisonous climate among ordinary citizens – which is, moreover, one of the main Russian objectives in this war that is also an information war.
